Team behind sustainable Chelsea condo strikes “Gold”

Citizen-Gold

After a successful collaboration between BKSK and Anbau on Harsen House, the first residential building on the Upper West Side to achieve LEED certification, the two reunited to craft another high performance, site-specific residential building with exceptional indoor environmental quality. The result is Citizen, a 16-story market-rate condominium at 124 West 23rd Street that earned LEED Gold certification earlier this month.

One of many projects in BKSK’s portfolio to achieve recognition for its environmentally robust design approach, Citizen has received a LEED NC Gold certification, the second highest level of certification granted by the U.S. Green Building Council for new construction projects. This designation acknowledges the project’s accomplishments in areas such as improved indoor air quality, reduced energy usage, and the promotion of sustainable lifestyles by both residential and commercial tenants. Learn more about Citizen here.

Congratulations to the full project team on this exciting accomplishment!
