Sarah Rutland

A South Florida native, Sarah began her architectural education at the University of Florida, where she experienced an intensive study of iterative design, spatial relationships, poetry, and gender studies. Her studies brought her to New York where she received her Master of Architecture degree, characterized by an unpacking of architectural, social, and political systems, from Columbia GSAPP. In practice, Sarah strives to cultivate positive social impact through informed, creative, and empathetic design.

A surprise skill: When she has the apartment to herself, Sarah loves to sing! Her trio of main musical inspirations are Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, and Ingrid Michaelson.
