24 Leonard Street
24 Leonard is a new 50,000 sf condominium building on a site that used to be a garage, just beyond the edge of the Tribeca Historic District. We proposed a bold, contemporary design that simultaneously fits comfortably and respectfully on the Leonard Street historic cobblestone block. The main building exterior is characterized by a vertically proportioned punched-opening stone façade, comprised of Portuguese limestone, extending the vertical rhythm of the street. The building is comprised of four full-floor single units and three duplex penthouse units. The cellar and ground levels of the condominium were carefully coordinated with many structural requirements to contain a public automated parking system, for storage of over 120 vehicles.
