Office Manager

BKSK Architects is seeking a full-time Office Manager to collaborate with our creative team.  The Office Manager will coordinate the day-to-day office operations and play a key role in setting an office-wide tone of cooperation, engagement, professionalism, and positivity in the service of creating exciting, thoughtful architecture.

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Willingness to take ownership over facility and office operations.
  • Willingness to trouble-shoot problems, and capable of effectively handling multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively.
  • Administrative and time management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; Other programs such as Adobe Suite a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supply management experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, be highly organized, and meticulous.
  • Ability to interact with clients and employees with professionalism and diplomacy.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day office operations including phones, messenger/shipping, and supplies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for building management, custodial services, office appliance maintenance, and vendors.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Coordinate AV set up and troubleshoot with IT team.
  • Coordinate and support office events.
  • Coordinate and prepare for office interviews and meetings.
  • New employee office on-boarding.
  • Assist Accounting with credit card management and reconciliation, as well as other tasks.
  • Database manager – update and maintain.
  • Renew licenses, registrations, NCARB and Annual Filing Reports for multiple states.
  • Lead Monday all-office Meeting and assist Marketing Department with other tasks as needed.

 

This is a full-time position with benefits. The expected salary range is $65,000 – $75,000. Marketing and Communications Coordinator

BKSK Architects is currently seeking a full-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator with strong visual and communication skills to join our team. BKSK is an award-winning, Manhattan-based firm dedicated to sustainable development at all scales for over 35 years.

Working directly with the Director of Marketing and Business Development, firm partners, and leadership, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will help to develop a variety of collateral, proposals, and presentations. The responsibilities of the coordinator will be flexible to address immediate needs and will include draft writing, client research, publication of digital media, and graphic design.

Examples of Marketing Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and create all aspects of strategic pursuits: qualifications, proposals, and presentations.
  • Manage and prepare aspects of award submissions.
  • Collaborate on social media planning. Lead the graphic production and writing of social media posts.
  • Maintain website content and create unique posts with guidance from firm staff.
  • Maintain the updating and organization of resumes, images, and project sheets.
  • Research and track opportunities/potential client information.
  • Maintain as current, all project, client, and subconsultant data in firm database.
  • Perform other related duties to support marketing, business development efforts and studio management as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong Interest in Architecture / Urban Planning / Design
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an architecture practice or other professional setting.
  • Strong organizational and management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and to work independently.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Word, Excel and Deltek preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • This is not a remote position.

Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 Annually.  This range indicates that the salary offered for this position will be commensurate with relevant experience and skills.
