Architectural Designer
BKSK Architects is a New York City-based firm specializing in socially engaging, contextually appropriate, and ecologically conscious design. The firm’s diverse range of work includes award-winning cultural, civic, educational, and multi-family residential projects.
We are looking for an Architectural Designer with up to 3 years of experience with a passion for high quality design, a strong interest in technical problem-solving and a positive, collaborative work style. This position involves design, documentation, and production across all project phases and in multiple typologies..
Ideal Candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Proficiency in Revit, V-Ray/ Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite (other design-related programs are a plus)
- Experience and interest in sustainable design and building performance
- Strong graphic and presentation skills
- Ability to work on multiple project typologies
- Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment; and,
- Ability to communicate comfortably, clearly, and confidently with team members, consultants, and clients – verbally and in written communications
This is a full-time position with benefits, including health insurance, company-match 401K, and benefits for professional development. We also offer a mentoring program as well as support in pursuit of architectural licensure. The expected salary range is $65,000-$75,000, depending upon capabilities and relevant experience. The need is immediate. This is a full-time in-person position.

Interior Architect / Architectural Designer

We are looking for an Interior Architect/ Architectural Designer with 6-10 years of experience to join our Interior Design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful functional, aesthetically pleasing interior environments. An ideal candidate would have high quality design, strong technical capabilities, and a positive, collaborative working method.
Ideal Candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited university or Degree in Interior Design with work experience in an Architectural firm
- 6-10 years of experience, (NYC based experience preferred)
- Strong design skills with proven experience designing interior spaces
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, 3DSMax/V-Ray/Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design-related programs
- Experience in sustainable design and healthy building materials (LEED/ Well/ Pratt Healthy Materials Lab accreditation a plus)
- Experience with all phases of project development from schematic design through construction with a strong preference for candidates who have executed projects from start to completion.
- Ability to work on multiple project typologies
- Strong knowledge of material properties, and material sourcing and research with the ability to understand and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to produce detailed drawings and collaborate with consultant teams
- Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment
- Ability to produce and present design work and to communicate comfortably, clearly and confidently with team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Expertise in creating visually appealing presentations including, but not limited to, mood boards, diagramming, 3D renderings, space planning, furniture, finishes, and interior building components
This is a full-time position with benefits, including health insurance, company-match 401K, and mentoring and benefits for professional development including ARE and IIDA support. Expected salary range is $85,000-110,000, depending upon capabilities and relevant experience.
