Approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, BKSK’s design for this new mixed-use and residential building graces one of Cobble Hill Historic District’s most prominent corners. The hand-laid red brick façade celebrates the historic elegance of this small, sought-after enclave of landmark row and carriage houses, and parks that recall 19th-century village greens. Yet the building’s expansive steel-frame windows, capturing ample light from all four exposures, express the contemporary character of its design, with distinctive great rooms, high ceilings, and an automated parking space for every loft-style residence, making this building a first of its kind for Cobble Hill.
