BKSK’s architecture and interiors team led the transformation of this existing 18 story Beaux Arts building designed by York & Sawyer which originally included the Postal Life Insurance company. This repositioned building steps from Grand Central on the corner of 43rd Street now features a newly constructed grand glass enclosed lobby and elevator core on 43rd Street in addition to the existing lobby and elevators on 5th Avenue to allow for faster access to the 18 floors of office space. The 160,000 square foot building has two types of prebuilt floors which include custom reception areas, conference rooms and pantries for a turnkey solution for future tenants.

The project scope included all new mechanical systems, exterior envelope improvements and window replacements throughout as well as a Local Law 97 analysis to assess future energy consumption. There is a 9,000 square foot amenity floor featuring a juice bar, lounge, and shared business center.
