Battery Playscape on the Weather Channel

On July 11th, Joan Krevlin, BKSK Partner, made an appearance on two Weather Channel segments to highlight the Battery Playscape, its water management strategies, and the different types of play the space offers. Located where land meets water, the Playscape is vulnerable to flooding which made resiliency a key focus of the design. It was crucial to design a durable playground that could recover from future storms; the water management methods become a part of the play experiences, connecting kids to the natural environment.
