BKSK is proud to announce that James Wilson, Sustainable Design Researcher, will be presenting at the Environmental Design Research Association’s 46th annual conference. Themed around “brainSTORM: Dynamic Interactions of Environment-Behavior and Neuroscience,” EDRA46 will occur in Los Angeles between May 27-30, 2015.

James’ poster session will take place on May 29th, at which time he’ll present research entitled “The Production of Varieties of Presence.” The knowledge gained from this research will ideally be utilized by architects and designers to create environments that more fully involve the perceiving human inhabitant or dweller – ultimately generating greater empathic activity and behavior in the actively participating individual. Among the many environments already studied is Studio Olafur Eliasson’s The Weather Project installation for the Tate Modern, pictured here. Image credit: Rich Hintz.
