Congregation Habonim wins Faith and Form Award

We are honored to announce that our project, Congregation Habonim, has won a Faith and Form Award Unbuilt Work category. The project will be published in the journal Sacred Places/Faith & Form in the first part of 2022.

The project is a vibrant neighborhood synagogue on the Upper West Side of NYC. Founded in November 1939,  the new synagogue offered exiled Jews a place to worship and maintain their traditions. The current design, in a new residential building being constructed on the site of their first New York home, reflects the congregation’s continued evolution as a welcoming community that fosters strong bonds of friendship, prayer and learning.
