BKSK Participates in Design Review for Architecture Students at the City College of New York

A woman in black holds a small architectural model while presenting to a seated group. Architectural drawings are displayed on the wall behind her as a man in the audience gestures and asks a question.

BKSK’s Joe Vivino, AIA participated in a design review for architecture students at the City College of New York Spitzer School of Architecture. After a semester of hard work, students presented their design for an imagined Fire Station, situated in the neighborhood of Harlem, NYC. From conceptual sketches to 3D models and renderings, it was reinvigorating to see the dedication of every student and the wide array of creative approaches to the project. We are always lucky for the opportunity to share our feedback and insight to future architects. BKSK is designing a new FDNY Fire Station in Far Rockaway, Queens with construction beginning in 2025.

Best of luck to all the students, and a huge thank you to Associate Professor, Nandini Bagchee for inviting us back for the final critique. BKSK and Bagchee Architects are collaborating on the Bronx H.E.A.rts Center, a new community building focused on holistic health, education, and the arts.
