Battery Playscape Nominated for Best Public Playground in the United States

USA Today has nominated the Battery Playscape for best public playground in the United States!

“Battery Playscape reimagines Manhattan’s waterfront history through five distinct play areas made with sustainable, natural materials. Children can scramble over granite slides carved to mimic the site’s original topography, while the water play zone teaches about tides and marine ecosystems. The playground’s innovative drainage system captures stormwater for irrigation, turning environmental education into an adventure that includes climbing nets, tree houses, sand play areas and ShowBox, the first improv and puppet theater within a NYC playground.”
