300 East 50th Street Recognized with Brick in Architecture Award

Anagram Turtle Bay at 300 East 50th Street has been honored with a Brick in Architecture Award from the Brick Industry Association. The 23-story mixed-income residential tower reinterprets Midtown East and Upper East Side masonry traditions through a warm gray brick façade, strong vertical expression, and stepped terraces, balconies, and green roofs that create a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly presence.

Brick was selected for its timeless character and craftsmanship. A single custom chamfered brick generates woven patterns, corbelled details, and rich texture across the façade, from recessed window bays to the sculpted entry. Thoughtful material use and hand-laid precision give the building a unified expression that feels both contemporary and rooted in New York’s architectural history.
