Center for Fictions wins (ALA/IIDA) Library Interior Design Award
We are excited to announce that our project The Center for Fiction, in Downtown Brooklyn, is the winner of the American Library Association/ International Interior Design Association (IIDA)(ALA/IIDA) Library Interior Design Award in the Special Libraries – 30,000 sq. ft. and under category. We agree that it is quite a special library, and community resource for New York City.
With several homes in Manhattan and now this new home in Brooklyn, since 1820 the Center has served the public and members as the only nonprofit literary organization in the U.S. solely dedicated to celebrating fiction. The Center is closed (although you can take advantage of some streaming programming online!) as are all institutions in New York, but when we can once again visit the places we love, this should be on your list!
All winners will be featured on iida.org and published in Contract and American Libraries.
